DFWTP Epi. 60 - YES, we are doctors...
•
Drs. Levin Fairchild & Zander Buttress
Drs. Fairchild and Buttress address the common question asked by the general public and even our own families: "are you doctors yet?" "so like, do you do surgery?" or the famous, "oh yea they are training to be doctors", or "they are still in school to be surgeons"
Simply put, no. We are doctors the day we earn an MD from medical school. We are surgeons the day we step into a categorical surgery residency position. We just train under more experienced surgeons to gain the skills and further knowledge needed to be able to fully do it on your own- just like any learned skill in any job.
